Articles are best found using the Library's databases, and there are many databases to choose from.
To begin, locate the Subject Guide for your program area or topic of interest. Our best databases in which to search for that topic area are listed there.
Each database will give you various options for searching: keyword, title, journal title, author, etc. with options to limit your results by date, scholarly/peer review, document type, and more. Though they may look different, databases usually have the same functions built-in, including glossaries, indexes, or thesauri to help you refine your search terms.
Be sure to ask Library Staff for assistance with article databases. Visit us in person, or call us at 902.457.6250, during Reference Hours. You can also use Live Help to IM chat with a Novanet Librarian for assistance (during its hours of operation).
